I really hate Rush "Limp"baugh. He was a second rate radio disc jockey that started poking fun at serious issues he labeled "political correctness' such as Feminism, affirmative action, multi-culturalism. gay equality and the government sponsored economic safety net for the poor. By espousing this political and social bigotry on the public airwaves initially with a sense of humor, he tapped into a hardcore right wing audience that finally found a spokesperson for their un-democratic and un-american political values. This reactionary mostly politically ignorant, fan base believed because Rush could say it on the radio it was true. Thus, in their feeble minds if they heard Rush say it, then it was ok to be a rascist or anti-feminist, or gay basher. You can bet those guys that beat Matthew Shepard to death in Wyoming were long time listeners of "El Rushbo". ..........Because he had this loyal fan base, national advertisers started supporting his show and am radio stations desperately looking for new programming added him. As his stations started growing he saw dollar signs comming from all directions including Republican supporters and advertisers. He quickly became a propagandist for Republican candidates using his air time to give them free endorsements. This synergy of hyping Republican candidates with un accountable conservative propaganda and a growing listening audience with no alternative political ideas available on the radio, not only made Rush rich, but a real political power broker. There is a great deal of evidence that the 94 midterm elections that gave Republicans the majority in Congress were swung to the Republicans by Rush's 20 million loyal listeners, who vote as he tells them. Limbaugh's success, from second rate music DJ to very rich political propagandist for the Republicans spurred a large group of imitators such as Sean Hannity another second rate disc jockey until he took up the Republican propaganda pitch. Michael Savage a one time leftist psuedo intellectual who couldn't earn a living until he started pimping for the Republicans,and Bill O'Reilly a chicken shit, verbal bully, with no career until he discovered hard core Republicanism....... About the time Clinton got into trouble with Monica these propagandists and a new group of cable talking heads came out from under their rocks including Ann Coulter, a truly despicable human being, turned the politcal debate in this country very ugly. They went from just pushing Republican propaganda as part of the right wing multi-media "noise machine" to actually labeling the Democrats and liberals in general as the enemy in the literal sense of the word. Not because they cared about America and what it stood for, but because demonizing the opposition was making them rich. Their greed and the corrupt power hungry Republican politicians who basked in their support, and the brainwashed red state voters, turned our once consensus form of democracy into an unaccountable, one party abusive government...........Thus, when "Limp"baugh got busted yesterday for having prescription Viagra made out to his doctor's name I loved it. Mr. "Law and order" getting busted again for breaking the law with drugs he acquired illegally. He was comming back from what must have been a wild weekend on his private jet from the Dominican Republic when he got nabbed by custom inspectors. Besides the hypocrisy of his serial law breaking over pills and prescription shopping, just what was "Limp"baugh doing with a bunch of Viagra in the Dominican Republic for a long weekend? I doubt he was on a date. Oh the stories the high priced hookers could sell to the Enquirer, and I hope they do. This paragon and promoter of the Christian right and Republican values hooking it up for 4 days in the Dominican Republic. Does it get any better? My Republican friends said to me it's not very liberal to kick a guy when he's "down"......but he wasn't "down" all the time I replied with a chuckle. He just has a serious case of peni......oops, I mean Clinton envy.

ABU MUSAB AL-ZARQAWI, is dead. We finally killed a real terrorist is Iraq. Not only did we get Al-Zarqawi, but we got his so called "spiritual advisor, Abu Abdul-Rahman al-Iraqi. I only wish they could have caught him and his "spiritual advisor" and cut their heads off slowly so they could feel some of the pain they caused. For a mass murderer of innocent men woman and even children (there are accounts of him and his followers beheading boys as young as 10 years old) to have a spiritual advisor as if there was some religious justification for their butchery only reflects negatively on the Koran, the Muslim faith and Islam in general. Maybe the media is keeping it a secret but I don't see any Muslim religious leaders applauding this scum's demise and saying he didn't represent any part of the Muslim faith. ...........Al-Zarqawi became the face of Al Qeada in Iraq. He was Bush and Cheney's and Limbaugh's and Hannity's rationalization for the mess we created in Iraq and the US lives lost and the tax dollars pissed away. We were fighting him there so we didn't have to fight him here. Well now he's gone. It's going to get very interesting how they spin the continuing senseless Shiite versus Sunni violence as it rages on without the face of Al Qeada. Maybe it's not a civil war pending as the media describes it. Maybe the so-called Sunni insurgency is what's left of Sadaam's army and supporters waging guerilla warfare against the US troops and the Shiite majority to regain power? If this is the case why is Sadaam still alive? He killed a lot more people than Al-Zarqawi...............I don't know Brian Bilbray who recently won the Republican congressional seat from north county, mostly affluent beach communities near San Diego. But I dislike him and mis-trust him for many reasons, not just because he is Bush butt kissing Republican. He is a surfer. He rides a longboard just like I do, so I should like him, you know, brotherhood of long time watermen and all that. But when he was last in Congress a few years ago he did all he could to dismantle the "Clean Water Act". Donna Fry, who's husband is a surfing icon, built her political career on getting Bilbray out of office because of his ant-environmental attitudes. So, until this opportunity to replace the crook Cunningham, came up he's been serving time as a lobbyist. Who could have been a better candidate to replace Cunningham, a political taker, than a lobbyist or political briber. So Bilbray was hand picked to run for the seat and millions of Republican campaign funds were pumped into his campaign and he won. But here is the rub. All those wealthy Republicans living in their multi-million dollar homes near the ocean in Del Mar and Solana County, are so blinded by the same short term Republican greed that Bilbray personifys, they just don't get it. Keeping the ocean clean and usable is what makes their houses so valuable, just like keeping the ocean clean allows Bilbray to enjoy riding waves without worrying about bacteria in the water. What is wrong with these people?.............I didn't have time to write about Ken Lay, ole "Kenny boy" to President Bush, finally getting brought to justice. This crook was so tied to the Bush family both senior and present Bush administrations, it is disgusting that the mainstream media, has just glossed over the Bush's part in Enron's corruption and collapse. I gaurantee when Bush leaves office in 08, his first pardon will be for "Kennyboy".
